Teeth whitening products are a billion dollar a year enterprise.

And if you’re thinking about investing any of your hard-earned
money to whiten your teeth, perhaps a trip to your local
supermarket will change your mind.

That’s right, you can whiten your teeth naturally without
subjecting yourself to something that may be potentially
harmful and incredibly expensive.
Just use the inexpensive (and safer) teeth whitening
products known as food, listed below.

This week’s grocery list for whiter teeth:

a) Cheese-
Yes, it’s fattening, but in small amounts it can actually improve
your health, especially the health of your teeth.
Eat a hard piece of cheddar before having wine, tea or coffee.
The natural wax in cheese coats the teeth creating a protective barrier.
Plus, the wax fills in teeth’s pores to prevent the wine or tea’s color from
seeping in.

b) Strawberries-
It’s rumored that mogul, singer, mom and actress Jessica Simpson
use strawberries to brush her teeth.
To make: Mash a fresh or frozen strawberry with a tsp. of baking soda
and brush onto teeth and brush away. Do this once or twice a week
before a big event.
Strawberries contain malic acid and baking soda is a mild abrasive
and together they gently clean the tooth-dulling buildup, leaving you
with a 1,000 watt smile.

c) Raw Produce-
Keep teeth in tiptop shape by chewing on raw broccoli, (the stems as well)
cauliflower, or green apples (less sweet) in between meals or when you
can’t get to a toothbrush. Chewing on these types of foods keep the
teeth free of plaque and bacteria that gets lodged in between
them, helping you avoid tooth decay, gum disease and tartar buildup.
