The Spring Salad For Faster Weight Loss!
You may be eating more salads now that the weather is getting warmer
and if weight loss is a goal, then you may want to make the following
salad.
The salad:
Spinach-Mushroom Salad.
Why a mushrooms and spinach salad?
Mushrooms speed up weight loss. Mushrooms contain special
compounds that help you shed up to 5 pounds of belly fat in one month.
And spinach is packed with vitamin K-1, a vitamin that reduces
inflammation from your body and speeds up weight loss.
So, if your regular, go-to salads consist of lettuce, tomatoes, onions,
a boiled egg, some sliced ham, cheese and salad dressing, put it aside
(for a few months) and make the following…
Recipe for a Spinach-Mushroom Salad!
Ingredients:
4 slices of low-salt bacon
1 package of baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1 to 2 Tbs. of olive oil
1 Tbs. of Balsamic vinegar
2 to 3 cups of fresh spinach, (chopped)
2 Tbs. of pine nuts (optional)
For even faster weight loss, leave out the pine nuts.
To make:
Coat nonstick skillet with cooking spray (Pam); heat over
medium heat. Add bacon; cook until crisp, 8 to 10 mins.
Drain; reserve drippings. Crumble bacon, Coat skillet again;
turn on to medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms; cook, stir,
until browned, 5 to 6 mins. In a bowl, add enough oil to drippings to yield
3 Tbs.: whisk in vinegar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. of pepper. Add spinach,
bacon and mushrooms; toss. Top with pine nuts.
