You may be aware of the jokes made about the low-cal dessert called Jello.
It’s served to seniors in nursing homes around the country.
It’s a food eaten by babies, because they don’t have teeth
and it’s easier to chew and swallow.
It’s for poor people and on and on.

Well, if you aren’t a fan of jello, (more importantly gelatin) then you may
want to add some to your daily regimen after reading about the following
benefits.

Gelatin, the main ingredient in jello, has some surprising “youth” benefits, like…
a) Natural Sleep-Aid-
Concerned about taking sleeping pills and their side effects? Try eating or drinking
some gelatin an hour before bed. Gelatin is loaded with glycine, a natural compound
that calms down your nervous system, helping your body power down at night, allowing
you to enjoy deeper and restorative sleep. And the better and deeper you sleep, the less
apt you are to experience weight gain, heart problems and other age-related ills.

b) Aches and Pains-
Suffering from knee pain or arthritic pain in your hands? Add some gelatin to
your daily menus and see if it erases the aches and pains. Gelatin is a form of
collagen, an amino acid-packed protein that eases painful inflammation
and protects joints from wear and tear. Plus, regular exercisers who consume
some gelatin on a regular basis have stronger bones.
Important tip: Head to Google.com and type Ruby and Gelatin in the search bar.
Listen to her video where she explains that she started taking gelatin about
6 decades ago to overcome some broken bones after a car accident and once she
was healed, she continued to take it and today, her bones are youthful and she doesn’t
suffer from any pain in her body.

c) Youthful Cells-
The glycine in gelatin is a building block of protein that protects cells and helps
your body absorb minerals and vitamins more effectively. That, in turn, reduces
your risk of everything from cardiovascular disease to diabetes.

d) Looking Younger-
It’s something millions of people want: To look 5, 10 and even 15 years
younger than their actual age and gelatin is one inexpensive and safe way
of getting some real results. Gelatin is the richest dietary source of collagen,
a compound that keeps skin’s support structure strong, helping to stop
wrinkles from forming. The catch: Your body’s collagen production
declines with age. So, start getting more gelatin and in two months
you should see smoother and plumper skin, stronger nails and thicker
and shinier hair.

e) More Tips-
You can also get gelatin from marshmallows, gummy bears, yogurt,
and bone broth. And if you’re okay with some jello, you can drink it as
hot beverage or follow the directions on the back of box and leave it
in the refrigerator and let it set. Remember you can get regular
or unsweetened jello. And for those who aren’t fans of any of the
above-mentioned tips. Look for plain gelatin (Knox) in a box and
add a 1/2 tsp. to tea, coffee, a smoothie or a bowl of soup or oatmeal.
