If you’re a fan of green, black or Oolong tea continue to drink them
as they bolster your health, but if you tire of these teas or want to
try a new and different tea, then you may want to try Pu-Erh Tea.

Also called “dark tea” and pu-er tea, it is made from the same leaves as oolong,
green and black teas. The difference? Pu-erh tea is fermented (like Kombucha)
so it delivers ‘good bacteria’ as well as all the other benefits of tea.

But wait, there are more benefits like…
a) Slim Down For Springtime-
Is weight loss your 2024 New Year’s resolution?
Sipping this tea daily helps the body tap into fat stores to burn for energy,
which can improve insulin sensitivity. Another benefit: Even indulging
in a snack (or two) once or twice a week, won’t cause weight gain if you
continue drinking the fermented tea.

b) An Energy Boost-
Do you suffer from blood sugar ups and downs that cause you feel listless
and tired? Well, boost your energy levels with a cup (or two) of Pu-Erh tea
each day. The tea expels more excess glucose to ward off energy-sapping
blood-sugar swings. And lastly, if prediabetes and type 2 diabetes are
a concern, the tea will reduce prediabetes by 55% and type-2 diabetes by 45%.

c) A Healthier Liver-
The number of people being diagnosed with fatty liver disease continues to go
up each day and if you don’t want to become a statistic drink more Pu-Erh tea.
Excess blood sugar is stored in the liver, and when levels get too high, it can
lead to insulin resistance. But drinking a cup (or two) each day helps keep the
liver healthy to ward off the debilitating disease. Pu-Erh contain probiotics
that ease inflammation and reduces the activity of genes linked to poor liver
function.

d) A Tea Recipe For a Cold Night-
If you enjoy your tea without any add-ins, (milk and sugar) that’s great, but
if you want something other than plain tea, here’s a recipe for a cup of Pu-Erh
tea with some extras.
