Ladies, you’re probably aware that you need more protein as you age and if you
think that means loading up on yogurt, beef, chicken, eggs and fish you’re wrong.

Yes, a few servings of meat, yogurt and eggs each week is okay, but researchers
say you can get more protein by adding collagen to your daily regimen.

You can get collagen in powder form, jello, unsweetened gelatin or bone broth,
( homemade or store-bought) and if you do decide to start adding more of this
protein to your daily menus, here are some of the benefits you’ll get…

a) Healthy Skin-
Ladies, are you thinking of Botox? Well, before shelling out money, perhaps
some gelatin or bone broth may be all of the cosmetic surgery you need.
Skin needs collagen to stay plump and elastic and eating or drinking more of
it can reduce wrinkles by as 35% in 3 months.

b) Strong Bones-
Another major concern as the years roll by: Osteoporosis. Strengthen your bones
by getting more collagen. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and
protein is a vital building block for bones, helping them stay strong and healthy.
Women who get more collagen had notably higher bone mineral density than those
who don’t get enough.

c) Hunger Pangs-
Still have the appetite of an active teenager? Quell those cravings naturally with
collagen. Pour some powdered collagen into a smoothie, a cup of tea
or coffee and go about your day without giving in to those cravings.
And even better: Collagen is 40% more satiating than other protein sources
like whey and casein, (found in dairy).

So, now that you know a little more about collagen, you may want to head to
your local grocery store or health-food store and buy some powdered collagen,
or the above-mentioned jello, Knox gelatin, bone broth or pork rinds.
And if you decide to make your own, but aren’t sure how, just go to youtube.com
and type recipes for bone broth in the subject line.

And one last tip:
If you do decide to buy some powdered collagen, here’s a recipe for a hot beverage
to get you started on your path to stronger bones, wrinkle-free skin and no hunger
pangs.
