The Healthier Food Choices For Better Brain Health!
For over a decade now, the subject of dementia and Alzheimer’s has really
garnered a lot of attention and for good reason: the number of people 60 and
over who are getting it is quite astonishing.
And if you listen to medical professionals it can be for a number of reasons,
like-too little exercise, genetics, not enough of the right vitamins and minerals
and of course diet.
Well, like most illnesses and diseases diet does play a big role and according
to researchers, swapping out one type of food and adding another type will
greatly reduce your odds of getting it, (dementia).
First up, the type of food you should only eat on occasion or avoid altogether:
Processed foods. You know, bacon, luncheon meats, (salami, bologna, etc.)
sausage and spam.
And the foods you should be eating:
Nuts, beans and legumes.
Researchers say that processed foods high in salt, saturated fats and nitrites
cause inflammation and blood vessel damage, both of which can contribute
to cognitive decline.
And beans, legumes and nuts do just the opposite and slows brain aging
and reduce your risk of dementia by 20%.
