A toast to your health and the New Year, 2024.

Are you planning on having a cocktail this Thanksgiving, Christmas or
New Year’s Eve?
If you answer yes, good for you.
We can’t listen to those professionals who advise us that one drink a day is okay
and then a year later, say “it’s best to avoid all alcoholic beverages.”

If you do plan on indulging (not overindulging) and having a drink at Christmas
dinner or to ring in the new year, then you may want to save the following info
for your own personal use or to show your doctor.

The information: how alcohol actually enhances your health.
1) Healthier Heart-
Have a drink or two each day and lower your risk of developing heart disease
by 20%. Alcohol can soothe the sympathetic nervous system to keep blood pressure
and heart rate low and tame that inflammation–all the while reducing your risk of
heart disease and heart attacks.

2) Lower Risk of Diabetes-
The number of Americans who become diabetic is increasing rapidly and if this
scares you, then do something about it, in addition to eating smaller and more
nutritious meals, sleeping 7 to 8 hours each night, you can also reduce your odds
even more by having a cocktail each night. Alcohol enhances insulin sensitivity
to keep blood sugar levels steady.

3) End Joint Pain-
Another billion dollar business for the medical industry here in the U.S. and
if you’re one who is paying for all types of pain relief, hold onto your money
and adopt a “cleaner” diet (less processed foods, more fruits, veggies, leaner
cuts of meats, etc.) and have a glass of wine, a beer or a shot of bourbon
each night.
A drink a day can help ease the aches and pains associated with arthritis by
35%. Alcohol stimulates immune cells to tamper the inflammation that causes
aches and pains.

4) Stronger Bones-
If a cold beer is part of your daily regimen, continue it. Researchers say that
the mineral silicon which is in wheat, barley and hops is vitally important
for keeping your bones strong. And if you enjoy a cigarette or two while
having a beer, then you may have to stop the cigarettes.
Cigarettes impede blood flow and cause a host of health problems,
like blocked arteries, sluggish blood flow and of course, thinning bones.

5) Full Head of…-
Ever hear the old wives tale about never seeing a bald homeless alcoholic?
Well, there’s some truth to that statement, but it doesn’t require you to live on the
streets drinking 3, 4 or 6 beers a day. Again, the mineral silicon which is present is
beer, is also the mineral responsible for keeping your hair thick and luxurious.
So, go ahead and have that glass or bottle of beer each night.
