The Healing Benefits of Good Fats!
For the past 3 decades fats (oils) have gotten a bad rap,
that causes everything from weight gain, inflammation
and heart disease.
But, new research says just the opposite, in fact, a little olive, safflower,
and coconut oil can do everything from helping you lose weight to
boosting brainpower and if you’re not sure which oil to buy for your own
personal health predicament, here’s a list…
a) Boost Brainpower-
With Peanut oil.
Peanut oil has a mild flavor and high smoke point,
plus it’s rich in vitamin E and resveratrol, to fight brain
damaging free radicals.
To use: Fry chicken, veggies or fish in peanut oil.
b) Stress Relief-
With Walnut oil.
This oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, that
dampen the output of the stress hormone cortisol.
To use: Use walnut oil to dress your salads.
c) Remove Inflammation-
With Canola oil.
This neutral oil is a good source of anti-inflammatory
omega-3 fatty acids.
To use: Replace the fat in a baked good with canola oil,
(cakes, cookies, or a microwave cupcake)
d) Nourish The Thyroid-
With Coconut oil.
Coconut oil is loaded with medium-chain fatty acids that
stimulate the thyroid gland, resulting in a higher metabolism.
To use: Add coconut oil to baked goods, meat and veggie
stir-fries or add a tsp. (or two) to a cup of coffee, (bullet-proof
coffee).
e) Curb Appetite and Lower Breast Cancer Risks-
With Olive oil.
Olive oil can benefit your health in a number of ways,
but if you’re a female worried about breast cancer
or an out-of-control appetite, then you must use
olive oil on a daily basis.
Olive oil is rich in special nutrients that suppress
the appetite and prevent breast cancer cells from
growing.
To Use: Make a salad dressing using olive oil,
apple cider vinegar, herbs and spices or use it in
baked goods, a smoothie or to stir-fry veggies.
f) Lower Cholesterol and Get Youthful Skin-
With Grapeseed oil.
The polyunsaturated fats in grapeseed oil lowers
the “bad” cholesterol and raises the “good”
cholesterol. And those same fats moisturize skin
so effectively, helping you look 8 to 10 yrs. younger
than your actual age.
To use: Stir fry vegetables or use in baked goods.
You can also use it on the outside of your skin,
as a moisturizer.
g) X-Ray Vision-
With Avocado seed oil.
Loaded with lutein, which protects and nourish
retinal tissue to prevent vision loss.
To use: This oil has a high-smoking point, so
if you’re a fan of Wok cooking, (Asian style)
make sure to use avocado oil.
h) Ease Menopausal Symptoms-
With Flaxseed oil.
Millions of women suffer from menopause and if this
applies to you and you want some relief, start using
more flaxseed oil (and flaxseeds).
Flaxseeds contain plant estrogens that temper hormonal
fluctuations, lowering the occurence of hot flashes by 55%,
in less than 6 weeks.
To use: Flavor crudites, steamed vegetables or in hot cereals,
(oatmeal or millet).
i) Burn More Fat-
With Hemp oil.
Not to be mistaken with the medicinal plant
known as marijuana, this oil contains ample amounts
of gamma-linoleic acid, which activates calorie-burning
brown fat, especially targeting that stubborn belly-fat.
Also helpful: Safflower oil is especially helpful for
those who want to reduce their midsections.
Go online to youtube.com and the Dr. Oz show and type
Montell Williams and safflower oil in the search bar,
for a positive testimonial.
