If you plan on shutting down the backyard grill in a few weeks, you may want to
add these fruit toppings to that grilled burger, chicken thigh or pork chop
and hold the ketchup and mustard.
The toppings are actually fruit salsas and can also be used as a dressing
for salad, on fish tacos or eaten with tortilla chips.

Fruit topping no. 1-
Strawberry-Mango!
Make this unusual combination of strawberries and mangoes.
To make: Mix 2 cups of diced mango, 2 cups of diced strawberries,
1/4 cup of chopped red onions, 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro. 1 Tbs. of
honey, 1 tsp. of grated lime and 2 Tbs. of lime juice.
Mix well and test it, if you need salt and pepper, add a pinch.
Spoon a Tbs. of this fruit salsa over a turkey or beef burger or some grilled
steak.

Fruit topping no. 2-
Pineapple-Avocado!
Mix these 2 delicious fruits together and get a creamy-sweet salsa.
To make:
Combine 3 cups of chopped pineapple, 1 cup of diced avocado, 1/2
cup of black beans, (rinsed and drained from a can), 1/3 cup of sliced
scallions, and the juice from one lemon. Season with a little salt.
Add this salsa to fish tacos, pulled pork or pork chops or tortilla chips.

Fruit topping no.3-
Papaya-Tomato!
Semi-sweet papaya and tomatoes team up to make this tasty salsa.
To make:
Mix 2 cups of chopped papaya, 2 cups of quartered grape or cherry
tomatoes, 1/4 cup of diced red onion, 1 tsp. of chopped jalapeno,
(Seeds and ribs removed) 1 Tbs. of chopped cilantro, 1/2 Tbs. of lime
zest and 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice. Season with a pinch of salt.
Add a Tbs. of this salsa to your quesadillas or grilled chicken legs or
thighs.
