If you’re a fan of fruit, but tire of eating it in fruit bowls or drinking
smoothies, you may want to use it (the fruit) to make salsa dips.

That’s right, salsa. Forget about the tomato, onions, and hot pepper salsa
combo, and try using fruits instead.

Salsa No. 1-
Strawberry-Avocado Salsa!
You may not have thought about it, but combining strawberries and avocados
make a tasty combination.
To make:
In a bowl, combine 3 cups of diced strawberries, 1 1/2 cups of diced avocado,
1/2 cup of cilantro, 1/3 cup of diced red onion, 2 Tbs. each of lime juice and
minced jalapeno, 1 Tbs. of honey and 1/4 tsp. of salt.
Serve with baked tortilla chips or grilled chicken.

Salsa No. 2-
Mango-Red Pepper!
Mango is another fruit that makes a tasty salsa, and if you need a topping
for your tacos, this is the dip for you.
To make:
Mix 3 cups of diced mango, 3/4 cup of red diced pepper, 1/3 cup of diced
red onion, 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro, 3 Tbs. of lime juice, 1 Tbs. of
minced serrano chile * and 1/4 tsp. of
salt. Serve with blue corn chips or tacos.
* Serrano Chile- If you’re not a fan of heat, then you may want to leave this
hot pepper out.

Salsa No.3-
Pineapple-Jalapeno!
Another favorite to help quench Summer’s thirst is fresh pineapple,
but instead of eating it or drinking it, use it to make this dip.
To make:
Combine 2 cups of diced pineapple, 1/2 cup of finely diced red onion,
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro, 2 Tbs. each of diced jalapeno pepper
and a few Tbs. of lime juice, 1/4 tsp. of salt and 1/4 tsp. of pepper.
Serve this dip with corn tortilla chips or with grilled steak or pork chops.
