and one of those foods is Brussels sprouts. A fall favorite, this cruciferous
vegetable- contains Alpha-linolenic acid, a calming, happiness-boosting nutrient

below is a recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts and lentils.

The Recipe:
Brussels Sprouts Salad!
The lemon juice and olive oil make a great dressing for this combination
of Brussels sprouts and lentils.
Ingredients:
6 Tbs. of olive oil
2 Tbs. of fresh lemon juice
2 Tbs. of Brussels sprouts, trimmed, halved
1/2 tsp. of salt
1/4 tsp. of pepper
1/4 cup of pine nuts
2 cloves of garlic. minced g.
2/3 cups of cooked lentils
1/2 cup of fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
To make:
Heat oven to 375*F. Coat rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together 3 Tbs. of oil and lemon juice; reserve.
On the baking sheet, toss the sprouts with the remaining oil, salt and pepper;
spread out in a single layer. Roast until tender, 25 mins. turning halfway
through and adding pine nuts and garlic, during the last 3 mins. of cooking.
Add the sprout mixture, lentils and mint to the dressing in the bowl; toss
until evenly coated. Top with grated cheese.
Serve as is, or add a slice of thick French or Italian bread.
