If you lose focus during the stressful fall and winter months and you want
something natural that won’t damage your health (like Adderall) then you
may want to try the red fruit.
The red fruit: Pomegranate.

Yes, you can get pomegranate or the juice year round, but fresh
pomegranates are more available and cheaper in the fall and
if you need help with focusing, this is the natural remedy.

It (pomegranate) helps you feel more clearheaded. Credit goes to
plant compounds in the fruit that prompts the release of the concentration-
enhancing hormone serotonin in as little as 3 days.
So, now that you’re aware of the natural cure to become more focused, here
are two recipes that use the red beauty (pomegranate) for enhanced flavor
and taste.

The recipes:
One is a vegetable dish and the other is a meat dish and something even
better: Both are dairy and gluten-free.

Recipe No.1-
Pomegranate Glazed Pork Chops-
Tired of the same old fried or shake n’ bake pork chops?
Combine some honey and pomegranate juice for a sweet glaze
that’ll wow your guests.
Ingredients:
2 Tbs. of dark honey
1/2 cup of Pomegranate juice
1 tsp. of onion powder
1 tsp. of black pepper
1/2 tsp. of salt
4 pork chops (about 3/4″ thick)
slices of fresh lemons (optional)
5 to 7 sprigs of fresh rosemary (optional)
To make:
Preheat oven to 375*F.
In a large bowl, place the pork chops.
Pour some of the pomegranate juice over the pork chops,
both sides. Then sprinkle on the spices, both sides,
leave the chops alone for 15 or 30 mins.
After that, mix the honey and the rest of the pomegranate juice together.
Place the pork chops in a baking pan or on a baking sheet and
bake for 20 minutes and then turn over and bake for 10 or 15 mins. more
or until they’re no longer pink.
Then, brush on the honey and pomegranate juice, (both sides) and
leave in the oven for another 5 mins.
Transfer the pork chops to a cutting board or platter
and garnish with fresh sprigs of rosemary and lemon slices.

Recipe No. 2-
Orange-Scented Brussels Sprouts-
Another food that’s very popular this time of year: Brussels sprouts.
And if you’re reluctant to make them because of the strong flavor,
then you must try this delectable version.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup of pomegranate juice
2 tsp. of balsamic vinegar
1 lb. of Brussels sprouts, halved
1/2 tsp. of grated orange zest
2 Tbs. of pomegranate seeds
To make:
In a small pot, combine pomegranate juice and vinegar. Bring to a boil
over medium heat; cook until thickened and syrupy, 5 to 6 mins. place it off
to the side.
Place crisper plate in the basket of an air-fryer. Coat crisper plate with cooking
spray. Place basket in air-fryer. Turn air-fryer on to 300*F.
In a bowl, coat Brussels sprouts with cooking spray; toss with 1/4 tsp. of salt
and 1/8 tsp. of pepper. Remove basket from the fryer and transfer the sprouts
to a crisper plate. Insert basket back into the fryer. Set timer for 25 mins.
Cook until tender, 20 to 25 mins. shaking basket halfway through cooking time.
Toss with zest. Drizzle with the pomegranate and vinegar combo and top with
pomegranate seeds.
Important tip:
If you don’t have an air-fryer, prepare the Brussels sprouts as you normally
would, using the same ingredients.
