Better sleep in the Summer.

Now that it’s warmer, many of you out there may have trouble sleeping and if
this is you, then you may want to drink the beverage that’ll help you
get to sleep and stay asleep.

But wait, before you learn the beverage, you may want to go back
and look at some of our past posts and learn about some of the foods
and beverages that’ll help you sleep.

Now onto the beverage:
Masala Chai tea.
Popular in East Africa countries, Middle Eastern countries
and the Caribbean. The tea is made with black tea, milk and spices.
The spices: ginger, cinnamon, fennel seeds and star anise.

The flavorful brew is packed with ingredients that boost levels of
the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin.
Plus, the tea will also heighten the brain’s release of the calming
neurotransmitter GABA.

So, if the heat is making it hard to get to sleep and stay asleep,
try some tea, Masala chai tea.

To make your own tea at home, you can go to Google.com
or youTube.com and type recipe for Masala chai tea in
the search bar.
And lastly, for those who don’t want to make the tea,
look for it (Masala chai) at a big box store, (Trader Joe’s),
Whole foods or a health food store.

Sensitive to caffeine?
Try a decaffeinated chai tea like Twinings.
