Are you giving up something for lent?
Is it chocolate? Or television? Or maybe you decided to take a break from meat.

Well, if it is meat and you’re only going to eat fish, then you’re making a great
decision.
Why?
Studies have shown that including more fish in your diet can improve your health
in a number of ways, what ways, you ask?

* Brain health- The omega-3 fatty acids in fish help clear out the plaque located
in and around the brain, making it easier for the blood to flow easily and effortlessly.
And better flow means less dementia, memory lapses and brain fog.
* Heart health- Again, like the brain, unimpeded blood flow to the heart, allows it (the
heart) to work more efficiently. Plus, fish is loaded with vitamins and contains
omega-3 fatty acids that are known to improve lipid profiles and reduce inflammation,
which contributes to atherosclerosis.
* Joints- Feeling the effects of aging on your joints? Add more fish meal to your daily
dietary regimen and feel fewer aches and pains. Fish improves blood flow and
lubricates the joints.
Another plus: Fish can also build bones and keep them strong and flexible.
* Depression- Feeling more blue and sad during the winter months? It’s called
S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) and instead of reaching for Dr. prescribed
anti-depressants, eat your way to better moods and the food that works like
an anti-depressant, is none-other than fish. Again, give credit to the omega-3 fatty
acids in fish. Another fun fact: People who live in Scandinavian countries and only
experience months of very little sun and darkness rely on fish to help them prevent
dark and depressive moods.

So, now that you’re aware of some of the benefits of what fish can do for your health,
you may want to know which fast food restaurant was ranked best when it comes to fish
dishes.

1) Wendy’s-

There you have it, the 5 best fish sandwiches you can purchase at any
fast food restaurant.

And one last tip-
We normally don’t recommend fast food on this blog, but if you’re pressed for time,
too tired to cook or traveling, then go ahead and purchase a fish sandwich from a
fast food restaurant.
We still advise you to buy your fish ( preferably) wild-caught, from a supermarket
or fish store and prepare it at home.
