If you’re New Year’s resolution was to lose weight and you’re having a tough time
of it, perhaps you may want to simplify things.

Simplify things?
Yes, you may be counting calories, macros, weighing food, constantly watching your
Apple watch for calories burned or the number of steps you’ve taken that day, and
on and on.
But hold on, stop stressing yourself out. Listed below are some quick and simple
tips to help you lose weight easily and effortlessly this year.

a) Sleep-
If you’re sleeping less than 6 hours a night, this may be one of the reasons you’re
not losing. Getting 6 to 8 hours each night increases daytime energy levels and that’ll
help you burn more calories.

b) Stand-Up-
Do you sit at your job and then head home and sit some more?
Sitting too long fuels the release of a hunger-promoting hormone. The
new Rx: Stand up every 5 mins. every hour. To make this more effective, you
may want to move around during that time you’re standing up.

c) Weight Loss Tip For People Over 50-
Yes, you’re finding it difficult to lose weight now that you’re middle-aged
and if this is you, head to your local grocery store and pick up water-rich
vegetables and fruits. Water-rich foods help you fill up faster, which means
you’re less likely to reach for sweets and fattening foods.
The Water-Rich Foods:
Cauliflower
Cucumbers
Melons- Watermelon, Cantaloupe and Honeydew
Radishes
Bell Peppers
Tomatoes
Peaches
Plums
Apricots
Pineapple

d) Buy a Pair of Pants-
Pants to lose weight? Yes, compression pants to be exact.
These pants have been proven to boost metabolism by 15%,
when they’re worn while exercising. The pants support the circulatory
system and speed up oxygen through your system, maximizing
weight loss.
Important tip:
If you haven’t exercised in awhile or if you’re already suffering from
medical problems, you may have to avoid these pants.
When you get in better shape, you may be able to wear these pants.

e) The Japanese Secret-
If stress is one of the reasons you’re carrying extra weight, then you may
want to start getting outside and exercising. Researchers say that walking,
yoga or Tai chi in nature is so soothing that it reduces fattening stress
hormones (cortisol) an extra 15%.

f) Another Outdoor Secret-
Another reason to get outside: The Sun! Exposing your skin to blue light
from the Sun triggers the release of stored fat that lies right below
your skin’s surface. Another tip: Avoid sunscreen for 15 to 20 minutes
and your skin will absorb more sunlight.

g) Eat This Bread-
Have you given up bread because “it’s too fattening?” Well, you can have
a slice (or two) of pumpernickle. It’s loaded with a special fiber that helps
you fill up faster.

h) Blast Fat With-
A Paleo diet. Researchers say that the Paleo diet is better at neutralizing
enzymes linked to fat storage. Not sure what foods you should eat on the
Paleo diet? Go online to youtube.com and type foods to eat on the Paleo diet,
in the search bar.

i) The Natural Gastric Bypass-
If you’re thinking of getting gastric bypass, hold off and try these foods first.
The foods: Plant foods that contain lots of prebiotic fiber.
The foods:
Leeks
Bananas- (still a little green)
Garlic and Onions
Greens
Apples (especially the peels)
Kiwi
These foods trigger the same GI changes as gastric bypass surgery,
so you’ll reduce calorie absorption, turn off cravings and activate genes
linked to effortless weight control.

j) Drink This Special Tonic-
You may have heard about this tonic or may be drinking it now, what is it?
A Tbs. (or two) of apple cider vinegar added to a glass of water to help
you shed some weight. Well, it may not be working the way you want it to
and if that’s the case-try the new and improved weight loss tonic.
The Recipe:
