If you’re a fan of Sunday morning pancakes but are concerned about the calories,
you may want to try the pancake recipe listed below.

The recipe:
“Belly-Blasting Cottage Cheese Pancakes!”

Yes, pancakes made with cottage cheese as opposed to heavy carbs.
(flour).

Cottage cheese is high in protein (13 grams per half cup)
and works in 2 ways to help you slim down.
It’s a top quality dairy food and some dairy foods reduce belly fat,
thanks to arginine and leucine.
Arginine- is an amino acid that promotes fat loss and helps fills you up quickly.
Leucine- promotes muscle growth and helps you get lean, especially in the
abdominal area.

And there’s more:
Cottage cheese also helps you lower stress levels, especially the type of stress
that causes you to “stress-eat.”
Cottage cheese is packed with the amino acid L-tyrosine, a key building
block of neurotransmitters that can chase away the sad and lethargic moods
for a few hours, more than enough time to pass up that sweet treat at home
or at the convenience store.

The Recipe for…
Belly-Blasting Sunday Morning Pancakes!

Ingredients:
Cottage Cheese, 1 container (16 oz.)
2 tsp. honey
1/2 cup of quick-cooking oats *
1 1/2 Tbs. of vanilla extract
5 egg whites or 1 whole egg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg or ground ginger
1/4 tsp. baking powder
* You can also use some cooked rice (brown or white)
or cooked millet as a binder.

To make:
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, heat up a skillet or
large frying pan, spray with cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup
of the batter into the pan. When pancakes bubble, flip and
cook the other side. This should be enough batter to make
6 to 8 pancakes.

One last tip:
Feel free to add some fresh or frozen fruit to the pancakes,
heat the fruit up in a small saucepan, and make a low-cal syrup.
Just make sure to leave out the nuts, choc. chips, butter, maple syrup
and other goodies, or you’ll end up making this a high calorie pancake dish.
