Spicy Stew To Boost Immunity!
Building our immune systems should be talked about more
now that we’re one year into a pandemic, but most
in the health-care fields only want to talk about the
medicines (vaccines) you should be taking.
If you want to build immunity, there are a number of
ways to do it and thankfully, it doesn’t require a prescription
from a doctor, taking large quantities of vitamins,
exercising for hours each day, or eating and drinking loads of greens.
Here are some simple and low-cost ways to build your immune systems:
* Sugar-
Cut it out entirely or eat occasionally.
Opt for healthier alternatives, like dark honey, stevia, monk fruit
and fruit (fresh and frozen) ripe bananas, berries, etc.
* Exercise Less-
Being fit is great for boosting immune levels, but too much
can overtax the system. If you run or lift weight everyday,
why not do it 3 days a week and take up gentle stretching
or yoga on your off days.
* Sing and Hum-
Believe it or not, both are great ways to develop a stronger
immune levels. Do it in your car or in the shower for
five minutes each day.
* Volunteer-
Yes, giving of yourself, be it helping animals at the shelter or
helping humans at the shelter, being more selfless will boost
immunity levels.
* Eat Meat-
A lot of the news looks down on meat today, but eating
chicken, lean beef and pork can help boost immune levels.
Meat is high in zinc, an important mineral needed to boost
and maintain strong immune levels.
Not into meat? Look for a top quality zinc supplement and take it.
* Eat Colorful Foods-
As the previous post stated, meat is good for your immune system,
and so are vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain cartenoids, the
pigments that make broccoli green, or eggplants dark purple
or sweet potatoes orange, and these special compounds help
break down harmful substances before they can damage
your cells.
* Spice Things Up-
If you only use salt and pepper to your meals, and not spices and
herbs, you’re missing out on some great tasting food, and the
health benefits of spices and herbs. Many herbs and spices
contain special compounds that keep your immune levels
working at optimal levels. So, start using ginger, cayenne pepper,
marjoram, parsley, cumin, rosemary, cinnamon and turmeric.
* Have Some Stew-
Now that you learned some simple solutions to building
your immune system, here’s a recipe for you and
your loved ones to get you started on your road to an impenetrable
immune system.
