all of the drinks can be made in a slow-cooker.

Drink No. 1-
Almond-Coconut Eggnog!
Ingredients:
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup of sugar
1 Tbs. of cornstarch
1/2 tsp. of ground nutmeg
4 cups of unsweetened almond milk
2 cans of unsweetened coconut milk
4 cinnamon sticks
1 cup of white rum
To make:
In a small slow-cooker, whisk the first 4 ingredients and 1 cup of
almond milk together. Add remaining almond milk; coconut milk and
cinnamon. Cover; cook on low for 3 hours. Stir in the rum. Ladle into
heat-proof glasses. Garnish with a little nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.
Calories per serving: 160, Prot-2 g. Carbs-12g.
The health benefit of Nutmeg:
Sharpen focus and sleep better by adding a pinch of nutmeg to a
hot beverage (tea or hot cocoa) or a bowl of oatmeal or millet.

Drink No. 2-
Mulled Red Wine-
Put away the chilled wine for one night and have this warm and spicy
wine for the holiday.
Ingredients:
2 oranges
8 whole cloves
2 Bottles of red wine
2 cups of apple juice
1/3 cup of honey
4 cinnamon sticks
2 tsp. of vanilla extract
To make:
Cut oranges into wedges. Insert cloves into the orange skins.
In the slow-cooker, combine wine, apple juice, honey, cinnamon sticks
and orange wedges. Cover; cook on low for 3 hours. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Dividing evenly, ladle into 10 heatproof glasses or mugs. Garnish each glass
with an orange slice and a whole star anise.

Drink No. 3-
Pumpkin Pie Latte-
Any leftover cans of pumpkin from Halloween? Use them to make this
hot beverage.
Ingredients:
1 cup of canned pumpkin
2/3 cup of packed brown sugar
2 tsp. of ground cinnamon, plus an extra tsp.
8 chai tea bags
4 cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 cup of amaretto
2 1/2 cups of nondairy whipped topping
To make:
Bring 8 cups of water to a boil. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin,
sugar and 2 tsp. of cinnamon. In a 4-qt. slow cooker, combine boiling
water and tea; cook on high 15 min. Remove tea bags. Stir in almond
milk and pumpkin mixture. Cover; cook on low for 2 hours. Add the
amaretto. Ladle into heatproof mugs. Add whipped topping and sprinkle
with additional cinnamon and crumbled cookies (sugar or gingerbread).
Calories per mug- 225, Prot-1g. Carbs-34g.

Drink No. 4-
Spiced Pear Hot Toddy-
Pears usually come down in price this time of year, so make sure to stock up
and use some of them for this hot beverage.
Ingredients:
1 cup of pear nectar
1/4 cup of sugar
2 lemons, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks, plus an additional stick (or two)
2 whole star anise, plus a few extra
2 cups of Rum
Ingredients for garnishing-sliced pears, rosemary sprigs and
some lemon slices, optional
To make:
In a slow-cooker, combine nectar, sugar, lemons, cinnamon
sticks and star anise with 7 cups of water. Cover; cook on low heat
for 2 hours Reduce heat to warm; stir in the rum and ladle into heatproof
glasses. Add additional cinnamon sticks and star anise. If desired,
garnish each glass with a pear slice, sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon.
Calories per serving-150, Prot-0g. Carbs-7g.
