If you do a lot of cooking on the grill making fish, kebabs or tacos, what type of sauce
or relish are you using to dress them up?
Well, if you’re using a storebought marinade or regular condiment (mustard or ketchup)
you may want to broaden your horizons and try the relish and sauces listed below.
In addition to enhancing the flavor of a meat, fish or kebab dish, the sauces and
relish will also help you slim down.

Sauce No. 1-
Dijon-Wine Glaze!
You love pork chops cooked on the grill, but plain, pork chops aren’t that appetizing
anymore, no problem, make this sauce and give your chops a touch of sophistication
and creamy indulgence.
To make:
In a pan over medium heat, whisk 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard and 1 Tbs. of flour
for 2 mins. Whisk in 3/4 cup of white wine and let simmer for 10 mins.
How is it slimming?
Mustard and wine contain blood-sugar balancing phyto-nutrients, that protect
your cells and reduces your appetite.

Sauce No. 2-
Spicy-Lime Yogurt Sauce!
Pour this delicious sauce over steak or fish tacos, burritos or a rice bowl,
(a bowl of proteins and vegetables served over a bed of rice) or grilled vegetables.
To make:
In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 2 Tbs. of lime juice, 1/2 tsp.
of lime zest and 1/4 tsp. of cayenne or chili powder.
How is it slimming?
The probiotics in the yogurt and the heat from the cayenne pepper are
a lethal combination when it comes to raising your metabolism and
torching the fat.

Sauce No. 3-
Lemon Tahini Sauce-
Plan on cooking shrimp or chicken breasts on the grill?
Use this sauce to amp up the flavor.
Also great on Couscous with pieces of fresh chopped mint.
To make:
In a blender, blend 1/4 cup of tahini, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. of lemon zest,
1 tsp. of honey and salt and pepper for 30 to 45 secs.
How is it slimming?
Tahini contains B vitamins and the lemon contains vitamin C, which increases
energy levels and raises your metabolism.

Sauce No. 4-
Mango Relish-
For those who love grilled salmon or shrimp, finish it (the fish) off with
a Tbs. (or two) of mango relish. You can also use the relish on hot dogs,
veggie stir-fries or fish tacos.
To make:
In a bowl, mix 2 peeled and finely diced mangos, 1/4 cup of finely chopped
red onion, 1/2 cup of diced roasted red peppers, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh mint,
1 Tbs. of olive oil and 2 Tbs. of lime juice.
How is it slimming?
The lime, red peppers and mango contain enzymes that help reduce bloating.
