Huevos rancheros and Omelets for a faster metabolism.

Oh no, it’s almost bathing suit season for a lot of us here in the U.S. and if you’re
still dreading the thought of getting into a bikini or speedo come Memorial
day, then you may need to work on your metabolism.

That’s right, metabolism-and if you thought the old standbys of
eating 5 to 6 smaller meals or engaging in intense types of exercise
for 20 mins. was the way to go to increase metabolism you’re wrong.
New research says that tuning up your liver may be the best and most
effective way to speed it up (your metabolism).

So, if you want to increase your metabolism for this Summer’s bathing
suit season or you just want your body to burn fat year round, do the
following…

a) Head Outdoors-
Go outside, but don’t jog or do some fast walking, the better option may
be puttering around in the garden. Even moderate exercise can lower
fat liver levels as effectively as intense exercise. It’s the relaxed muscle
movement that activates fat-burning enzymes in the organ.
And if you don’t have a garden, go online to youtube and type a
walking indoors or gentle yoga workout in the search bar.

b) Sleep Like This-
If you have sleep apnea, then there’s a high possibility it may be causing
your metabolism to slow down. How so? Sleep apnea and the pauses in
breathing impedes oxygen flow to the liver and even brief oxygen shortfalls
make the liver sluggish. To remedy this, you may have to sleep on your side
and not on your back. And if you find this difficult, you may want to
put a tennis ball in the back of your pajama bottoms or underwear.

c) Use The Indian Spice-
Revered for it’s ability to keep the brain in tip-top shape, turmeric is
now being heralded as a way to remove some of the fat in your liver.
Just 1/2 to 1 tsp. of turmeric a day can lower liver-fat levels by 45%
in about 2 months. The spice’s active ingredient, curcumin, boosts
enzymes that clear out all of that dangerous fat.

d) Breakfast Please-
Not a breakfast eater? No problem, but you may want to start
adding more eggs to your daily menus, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Enjoying 2 eggs (especially the yolks) provide you with choline, a nutrient
the liver uses to break down fat. Not a fan of eggs? Look into taking
a choline supplement. Look for the choline supplement from
Nature’s Way, 500 mg. daily, available online at iHerb.com.
Don’t forget to talk to your personal doctor before taking any type of
supplement.

e) Drink Up-
You’re probably aware of the many benefits of drinking more
water: better skin, less constipation, fewer headaches, clear
skin (bye-bye acne) and an end to brain fog but did you know
drinking more water can also help boost metabolism? It (water)
can help clear toxins and other impurities from the liver helping it
work more effectively.
Important tip: Work your way up to drinking more water, drinking
6 or 8 glasses right out the gate may cause you other problems.

f) Go Nuts-
As in Macadamia nuts. Walnuts, almonds and pistachios always seem to
get all of the headlines, but if you want to get your liver to work more
effectively and increase metabolism, start adding a few macadamia nuts
to your daily menus. The nuts are loaded with magnesium and palmitoleic
acid, and together they energize fat-burning enzymes inside liver and
muscle cells.
