Maintain your weight this Holiday season.

Oh no, it’s that time of year again.
What time, you ask?
The time when many of us give in to our food urges and desires.

The endless temptation that runs from the end of Oct. (Halloween) to the
second week of Feb. (Valentine’s day) will leave a lot of us with expanded
waistlines, and if this describes you and you want to put an end to it, head
for the cabinets and go nuts.

Go Nuts?
Yes, as in go for the almonds, Brazil nuts, pistachios or walnuts.
Why nuts?
Snacking on a small amount of nuts helps those who are on restricted calorie counts
stick to it. Give credit to the nuts’ unique combination of fiber and unsaturated
fats, which keep you feeling fuller longer than you would on processed snacks like
pretzels and chips, plus boost your metabolism by 15%.

And one more tip to help stave off holiday pounds: drink tea.
More specifically, green tea.
Green tea and a small amount of almonds or walnuts, or Macadamia nuts will
help boost your metabolism by an extra 20%.

And lastly, when you buy nuts, remember to also buy small plastic bags as well.
Why?
So you can place a small amount in each baggie, so you won’t be tempted to go
overboard and snack uncontrollably.
