In the U.S.-soda and lemonade are the 2 go-to beverages
when we want to quench our thirst in the Summer.
But, if you head to Japan and Korea, you’ll want most likely
satisfy your Summer thirst with a drink called Pom-Vinegar.

A Pom-Vinegar, what is that?
It’s a sweet-and-sour drink that not only refreshes you, it’ll
also help you lose weight.

Lose weight?
Yes, the drink is made with pomegranate juice, apple cider
vinegar and sparkling water, and all three liquids contain
compounds that enhance each other’s benefits, particularly
helping you get slim and trim.
And since it’s so popular in Japan and Korea, this may be
one of the reasons why you rarely see overweight Japanese
and Korean people.

And there are more benefits to a daily dose of Pom-Vin Juice,
benefits like…
a) Targets Belly Fat-
After staying indoors most of the past year, (Co-Vid-19) many of
us are sporting bigger waistlines, and if you want to shrink that
middle by Memorial day, start drinking the Pomegranate and
vinegar combination.
The combination of both liquids activates an enzyme
called AMPK and activating it is like flipping the switch
to start burning fat for energy inside individual cells.
Plus, the high concentration of fat cells in our midsections
means this area tends to shrink the fastest.

b) Make Less Insulin-
Eating meals that raise insulin (a hormone that stores
excess calories as fat) puts you on a fast track towards
diabetes and other health problems, so lower it
(insulin levels) with some vinegar and pom juice.
Drink this combo with meals and reduce blood-sugar
spikes by 55%.

c) Lose The Cravings-
A big part of winning the battle of the bulge is to control
those ravenous cravings and one of the best ways to do it,
is by drinking the Japanese and Korean mocktail.
The tangy beverage improves levels of the hunger hormone
leptin.

d) Faster Weight Loss-
Researchers paired vinegar with other beverages-like cherry juice,
apple juice and grape juice, and what were their findings?
People did lose weight, but not as quickly as they did with
the pomegranate juice.
Compounds in pomegranate juice speed up the effects of acetic
acid in vinegar, causing fat to melt much more quickly.

So, are you willing to give this unorthodox beverage a try?
If so, just make sure to also follow some type of diet plan,
to make it (the 3 beverage combo) more effective.

How to prepare:
You can buy the 3 liquid beverage (already-made)
online at Amazon.com, but you may want to save money
and prepare it yourself, and to do that-just mix
1 Tbs. apple cider vinegar, with 2 oz. top quality
pomegranate juice and 8 to 12 oz. of sparkling water.
If it’s too bitter, you may add a small amount of sweetener,
(stevia). Serve over ice and drink 30 mins. before a meal,
during a meal or immediately after two of your biggest meals.
Make a big pitcher, (refrigerate leftovers)and drink it throughout
the week.
Also important:
Make sure you don’t drink more that 4 Tbs. of apple cider
vinegar a day, any more and you may damage tooth enamel.

And lastly:
If you find that you want a break from the diet and want
something other than chicken breasts, salmon, salads
and steamed veggies, here’s a recipe for Buffalo wings
