If you were gifted with an Instant pot this Christmas and you’re still not
sure what to do with it, here are 3 hacks to get you started on your Instant
pot adventures.

a) Garlic-
Need a bunch of caramelized garlic?
It (the garlic) can add rich flavors to hummus, mashed potatoes, sauces and
toasted bread. To make: Pour 1/2 cup of water into the Instant pot. Cut 1/4″
off tops of 3 heads of garlic; place on steamer rack. Cook on high pressure
15 mins. After that, you have spreadable garlic to dress up all of your favorite
dishes.

b) A Whole Meal-
Don’t dirty up another pot to make side dishes, just use the Instant pot.
To make chicken and potatoes, set the rack on top of browned chicken.
Placed cubed potatoes on top; cook for 15 mins. Transfer potatoes to a
bowl and mash.

c) Dessert Please-
If you have room from after eating that chicken and garlic mashed potatoes,
use your Instant pot to make dessert. The dessert: Cheesecake.
No need to fuss with a water bath to make a cheesecake, use the
power of steam to do the tough task. To make:
Prepare cheesecake recipe in small spring-form pan. Pour 2 cups
of water into the pot; place cheesecake pan on steamer rack. Cook
on high for 30 mins. Not a fan of cheesecake? Make a Quiche instead.
