After you’ve had your wine or other alcoholic beverage this Feb. 14th,
(Valentine’s Day) you may want to relax on the sofa or in front
of the fireplace with a non-alcoholic beverage.
And if that’s the case, here are 3 decadent and (alcohol-free) drinks that
are bursting with health benefits.

Drink No. 1-
Salted Dairy-Free Caramel Drink!
Boosts Energy Levels.
Coconut sugar lends this dairy-free delight caramel flavor and minerals
to spur the thyroid to produce more energizing hormones.

In a pot over medium heat, simmer 1 cup of coconut milk and 1/3
cup of coconut sugar for 5 to 7 mins. or until golden, stirring.
Whisk in 2 cups of almond milk, 3 oz. of dark chocolate and a pinch of
salt; cook for 2 to 3 mins. Garnish with some shaved pieces of
choc. and low-fat whipped cream.
Enough for 2 servings.

Drink No. 2-
A Spicy-Sweet Cocoa Drink!

The capsaicin from the hot pepper can speed up the metabolism
by 25% for three hours after drinking it.

cocoa powder, 3 tsp. of sugar, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. of chili
powder and a pinch of nutmeg until heated through, stirring often.
Enough for 1 serving.

Drink No. 3-
Creamy Golden Elixir!
Shut down fat storage.
This is similar to “golden milk” that you find in India, but this sweet treat
has chocolate chips in it. It also has Turmeric, a spice popular in India,
and it (turmeric) contains nutrients shown to switch off fat-storage genes.
To make:
In a pot over medium-heat, simmer 1 cup of almond milk, 2 Tbs. of white
chocolate chips, 2 Tbs. of honey and 1 tsp. of turmeric for 5 mins. whisking
it often.
Enough for 1 serving.
Important tip:
To make it more “calorie-friendly” leave out the choc. chips and honey.

That’s it- 3 fun and healthy drinks to have on Valentine’s day or any night
that’s below 32 degrees, (freezing).
Enjoy!
