Food pairings for better “Gut” health.

Researchers are finally realizing that combining certain foods will
do great things for your health.
What kind of great things?
Helping you slim down and repair your gut.

And there’s more, television star and medical doctor-Dr. Travis Stork,
is also getting in on the food combining trend and his food combos
for better health are…

a) Coffee and Honey-
Yes, you’re used to coffee with sugar, but Dr. Storke says mix it (coffee)
with honey. The chlorogenic acid in coffee beans turns on fat burning to
speed up your metabolism. And when combined with sweet honey, a
natural prebiotic, the pair can reduce bloat and constipation.
Important tip: Make sure to use a top quality honey and leave the $2 to $5
bargain honey on the shelf.

b) Turmeric and Pepper-
A lot of people have added turmeric to their daily menus, but did
you know that it (turmeric) works better when combined with pepper.
The yellow spice, commonly used in Indian cooking is proven to lower
inflammation and speed up fat burning, thanks to curcumin, which gives
the spice its yellow color. And combining it with black pepper, you boost
the absorption of tumeric’s healing compounds by up to 2,000%.
And that percentage boost can help you shed up to 2 pounds every ten
days.

c) Tomatoes and Olive Oil-
If you’re a fan of Italian food, you’ve probably used this combo
for a number of years and if you’re wondering how this combo benefits
you, here’s some info. When heated in the cooking process, this
Italian-food combo works to help the body absorb 3 times more plant-based
lycopene, a compound that limits how much fat is stored in cells. Plus, olive
oil is the only monounsaturated fat shown to reduce stroke risk.

That’s it, 3 food combos to help you slim for the new year.
