If you’re a fan of the Instant-Pot and plan on using it a lot more this fall and winter,
here are three clever tricks that you can do with food that you may not have
thought of.

Trick No. 1-
More Garlic-
If you need a bunch of caramelized garlic for mashed potatoes or a pot
of spaghetti sauce, but don’t have an hour or more for it to cook,
just use the Instant pot.
To do:
Cut 1/4″ off tops of 3 heads of garlic; place on a steamer rack. Cook on
high pressure for 15 mins. After that, take it out and use it on baked Ital. bread
or that bowl of mashed potatoes.

Trick No. 2-
Baked chicken and mashed (or steamed) potatoes are on the menu this
Sunday, so go ahead and use the Instant pot to make both foods.
To do:
Set rack on top of the chicken that’s cooking and then place some cubed
potatoes on top; cook on high for 15 mins. Transfer the potatoes to a
bowl and mash.

Trick No. 3-
Heavenly Dessert-
You love homemade cheesecake, but you don’t love fussing with the
water baths. The instant pot uses steam to cook the custard evenly,
so you’ ll get velvety-smooth results with no cracks.
To do:
Prepare the cheesecake recipe in small spring-form pan. Pour 2 cups
of water into the instant pot; place the cheesecake pan on the steamer rack.
Cook on high for 30 mins.
Important tip:
If you ever need an Instant pot idea for brunch or breakfast,
just whip up some eggs and other ingredients to make
a quiche in about 30 mins.
