An Apple A Day Keeps You Youthful and Sexy!
You’ve probably heard the old adage- “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” but are you
really sure what it means?
America’s “favorite fruit” isn’t just cheap and great-tasting, it also has incredible “youth-
boosting” qualities.
What qualities, you ask?
Benefit No. 1-
A Faster Metabolism-
Concerned about a slowing metabolism as you age? No problem, just eat an apple
or two each day and rev up that aging metabolism.
Benefit No. 2-
Natural Diet Suppressant-
Don’t mess with doctor-prescribed diet pills, try the fruity Rx first.
Similar to benefit no. 1- some researchers say eat an apple 15 to 30 mins. prior to a
big lunch or dinner and you’ll consume about 15% fewer calories. The researchers claim
the peels contain a special type of fiber that gets you full faster, which means you’ll eat
less at mealtime.
Important tip:
In addition to the apple, also drink a glass of water to really feel full and make that apple
a green apple, as this colored peel contains more filling-fiber.
Benefit No. 3-
A Hollywood Smile-
Give your children apples as they get older and they’ll prevent a lot of the dental problems
you see in the U.S. today. Apples increase your saliva production, while removing bacteria
and food particles, key to preventing staining and damage to tooth enamel.
Not able to get to a toothbrush? Have an apple and remove some of the food particles in
your teeth.
Benefit No. 4-
Heart Health-
Are you over 50 and worried about your heart? Eat an apple (or two) each day and reduce
your risk of a heart attack or stroke by about 45%. Apples are rich in quercetin, a phytochemical
that may block and repair DNA damage to the heart. Another plus, apples work just like or
even better than a lot of doctor-prescribed cholesterol lowering drugs.
Benefit No. 5-
The Body Beautiful-
Most people worry about dementia, (memory loss) heart disease, cancer, stroke,
diabetes and thinning bones as they get older, and then are those that worry about
losing muscle tone and growing weaker. And if you want to maintain your strong
and “beautiful” body as you age, eat more apples. Apples contain 2 compounds
(in the peel) ursolic acid and tomatidine, that help you retain and build metabolically
active muscle, the kind with powerhouses within its cells that turn glucose and fat into
fuel. Again, it’s best to eat green apples for this benefit.
Another tip: Another green food to help you retain your muscularity and strength as
you age: Green tomatoes. Just make sure not to overdo the frying in deep vats of oil.

Benefit No. 6-
Want to maintain a youthful complexion?
Eat and wear more apples. Apples have a high water content that helps hydrate
the skin’s hyaluronic acid-the water storing compound that plumps the skin and keeps
wrinkles at bay.
Another tip: Wear apples. A woman discovered in her late 20’s that if you peel and slice
an apple, put it in a small pan, add some milk and let it simmer for a few mins. Remove the
milk. Let it cool, sit or lie back and place the apple slices on your face, neck and hands (top
of hands) for 15 mins. once or twice a week, you can keep your skin looking like it did
in your late 20’s. The woman now in her early sixties, still gets complements on her
dewy and taut complexion.
Another tip: Avocados also provide the same youth-enhancing benefits, but are more
expensive and can get messy, (placing them on one’s face).
Benefit No. 7-
Brain Health-
Juice apples (avoid sugar-laden apple juice) and increase the production of a memory-
preserving brain chemical.
Benefit No. 8-
Just say no to Constipation-
Drink more water, do a little more exercise and eat apples (with the peels) which will
help you “stay regular” and avoid embarrassing hemorrhoids.
That’s it, 8 tips as to why Apples really do keep the doctors (cosmetic surgeons)
away.
