Reese Witherspoon’s Slow-Cooker Lentil Soup Recipe For Thicker and Luxurious Hair!

It’s that time of the year. What time?
To break out the Slow-Cooker.

And if you’re a fan of slow-cookers and want thicker locks (hair) then this is the
recipe for you.

This slow-cooked lentil soup comes from actress, mom, entrepreneur and
cookbook author Reese Witherspoon, and the lentils in this recipe are not only
good for your health, but good for the health of your hair as well.

That’s right- if your hair is brittle and prone to breaking, add more lentils
(or chickpeas) to your daily menus. Legumes are packed with manganese
and molybdenum, 2 nutrients that thicken hair strands and make it
strong enough to withstand the daily wear and tear.

Now, onto the lentil soup recipe….
Reese’s Slow-Cooker Lentil Soup!

Ingredients:
3 to 4 large carrots, chopped
1 large yellow onion
2 stalks of celery (chopped)
4 cloves of garlic, (chopped)
olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 bag of lentils (green or brown)
vegetable broth or stock
tomato paste (small can)
1 tsp. of cumin and coriander
1/2 tsp. of paprika
1/2 tsp. of turmeric
Sausage, 6 links cut into 1″ pieces (optional)
To make:
Rinse the lentils in cold water, making sure to remove the
discolored and hard pieces
Saute the carrots for a few mins. in a large frying pan in a little olive oil
over medium-heat. Add the onion and garlic cloves, saute until softened.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Place the lentils in the slow-cooker, along with the veggies and the broth.
Fill with enough broth ensuring that the veggies are covered. Add the tomato paste,
spices and sausage. Turn the slow-cooker to high, leave alone for an hour, then
turn the slow cooker to low and leave it alone for 3 or 4 hours, or until lentils are
tender.
Serve your lentil soup with a salad and crusty bread or gluten-free crackers.

That’s it, a recipe for a delicious soup and a natural hair care product all rolled
into one.
