Eat like football great Tom Brady!

If you’re a fan of football great Tom Brady then you’re well aware of his love
of avocados.

Mr. Brady follows an alkaline diet (foods with low ph counts) and the avocado
allows him to have creamy and decadent desserts and dressings
without the concerns about weight gain or other health problems,
(heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers) and if you want to
be more like Mr. Brady, make the following low calorie and good-for- you recipes
using the avocado.

Recipe No. 1-
Burn Belly Fat!
This is the season for parties and family get-togethers and if dips and/or dressings
are on the menus, make this low-calorie belly-fat burning version.
The Recipe:
Zesty-Avocado and Lime!
The special fats in this dressing increase the output of a hormone (adiponectin)
which boost belly-fat burning by about 55%.
To make:
In a blender, puree 1 peeled and pitted avocado, 1/2 cup of avocado oil, 1/4 cup
chopped cilantro (fresh) juice of 1 lime and 1/2 tsp. of salt.
Use this as dressing for salad greens or put on a plate of steamed vegetables
or use as a dip for raw or lightly steamed vegetables. Or pour over baked
or broiled salmon or a baked potato.

Recipe No. 2-
Stop the Snack Attacks!
Mr. Brady doesn’t snack between meals or eat into the late night hours
and one reason for that is the Avocado. Avocados contain 10.5 grams of
stomach-filling fiber and it’s a great way to curtail those constant cravings.
Plus, it contains omega-9 fats that prod your liver cells to burn stored fat.
The Recipe:
Avocado Slices with Lemon Juice!
If you crave Reese’s peanut butter cups or potato chips at all hours of the
day and night, cut up an avocado into slices and pour some spices on it and a
little lemon juice. Eat this whenever a craving strikes or when you want something
healthy.


Recipe No. 3-
As mentioned earlier, Mr. Brady still has dessert, it’s not the typical American
dessert (Apple Pie, Peach Cobbler or 3 tiered chocolate cake with frosting),
No- Mr. Brady enjoys a creamy chocolate pudding that’s a little over 200
calories per serving, 4 grams of carbs and 15 fat grams.
And that’s not all- this dessert is not only a good-for (weight-wise) treat it can
also banish brain fog.
Avocados contain vital nutrients that improve brain cell communication
and reduce memory lapses by 60%.
The Recipe:
TB 12’s Creamy Chocolate Pudding!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
2 avocados, pitted, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup of dark honey
1/2 cup of almond milk
1 tsp. of top quality vanilla extract
To make:
Mix cocoa into a cup of boiling water. In a blender, add 1/2 of the
avocados, the cocoa, the honey, 1/4 cup of almond milk and vanilla extract,
blend for 45 seconds and then add the rest of the avocado and milk and blend
another 30 to 45 secs.
Remove from the blender and pour into a bowl, chill for an hour or overnight.
When ready to serve, shave a few slivers of dark chocolate on top, along with
a few raspberries or blackberries.

Important tip:
If you think avocados are too pricey, you may want to head to a store
like Trader Joe’s, Aldi, Publix, Save-A-Lot or B.J.s and stock up.
Avocados are usually sold for $1.00 or less.
