Diet secrets from TB12.

If you’re a fan of the recently retired football great-Tom Brady, then you’re
probably aware of his diet.

You know, the alkaline diet, a diet that replaces acid-forming foods with
foods that are alkaline.
Mr. Brady follows this type of diet mainly because it doesn’t cause inflammation
in the organs, tissues and joints and thanks to a new article about Mr. Brady,
we learn some of the things he does and doesn’t eat, i.e. (alkaline foods and
acid-forming foods).

Mr. Brady’s personal chef Allen Campbell, recently revealed the things he makes
and doesn’t make for Mr. Brady, his wife and their 3 kids.
The Foods That Are Okay:
Vegetables- Fresh as possible and only organic.
Whole grains:
Brown Rice
Millet
Beans
Lean Meats:
And the other 20% of his diet is lean meats:
Grass-fed steak
Duck- on special occasions
Fish- mostly salmon
Sweet Treats:
Ice cream made with top quality 70% dark chocolate and avocados.
Salt- Himalayan salt
Oils:
Olive oil, used as dressing or for sushi bowls and it’s never heated.
If a recipe calls for heated oil-the chef uses organic coconut oil.

And now the No-No’s:
No sugar
No white flour
No MSG
No Coffee (or Caffeine)
No Fungus (mushrooms)
Fruit, (but only for the kids)
Mr. Brady does eat fruit, a banana in his smoothies and
avocados (yes, they’re fruit) to make his famous chocolate shakes
and Ice cream.*
No Nightshades Vegetables:
No Eggplant
No Tomatoes- His chef does reveal that Tom does eat a slice of
his kid’s pizza and it may contain tomatoes once a month.
No Mushrooms
No Peppers
No Soy
No Corn
No Potatoes

So, now that you know more about how Mr. Brady was able to
stay healthy and play at a high level all these years, here’s a parting
gift for those who may want to follow in his footsteps and go the
alkaline diet route, the gift: A recipe for vegetarian sushi, ” A vegan
sushi bowl” and it’s a favorite treat in the Brady household.
It’s gluten-free, vegan and oil-free.
Ingredients:
Cooked brown rice
1 cucumber- peeled and diced
1 medium avocado-peeled, pitted and finely diced
edamame
1 sweet potato- baked or boiled until tender, cut into small cubes
To make:
In a bowl, put 1/4 cup of rice down (as the first layer), then the cucumber,
avocado, edamame and the sweet potato on top.
After that, pour on some creamy and spicy cashew mayo,
(look for a recipe for cashew mayo online)
And then for a garnish and more color, crumble up some Nori,
(seaweed) and place over the spicy cashew sauce.
