You may be doing some positive things to keep your liver, kidneys, heart and lungs
in tip-top shape, and that’s great, but what about your pancreas?

The pancreas?
Yes, the organ that makes the insulin you need to keep your blood sugar steady,
pumps out hormones that help boost energy levels and fuels your fat-burning
engines.

And if you’ve been neglecting your pancreas and want to make a change,
here are a few solutions to put you on the right path.

a) Visit The Farmer’s Market-
Now is the time to take advantage of all of the fresh produce that’s available
at Farmers’ markets or Farm stands and if you’re ready to start taking
care of your pancreas-load up on berries, cherries and red grapes.
Red. blue and purple fruits are packed with compounds that trigger your
pancreas to increase its output of energizing hormones as much as 40%.
Aim for a cup of one of the fruits or eat all of them a few times each weeks
and you should feel more energized and focused in about 2 weeks.

b) Avoid Going Raw-
Simply put, if you want to revive your pancreas, you may have to eat more
cooked vegetables, why? Cooking breaks down tough cell walls in carrots,
squash, spinach, broccoli and peppers, increasing your absorption of
their pancreas-healing nutrients by 45%.

c) Make It Hotter-
As in your meals. If you’re a fan of a bowl of hot and spicy chili or a Bloody Mary
with a few drops of hot sauce added to it, you’re doing something special for your
pancreas. Researchers say that capsaicin, the compound that makes those
flavorings “red hot” is toxic to precancerous cells in the pancreas, and it
(the hot sauces and spices) don’t pose a problem to your healthy tissues.
Add some hot sauce to egg and meat dishes and use cayenne pepper
on veggie stir-fries, soups and stews.

d) Say Goodbye To-
Foods and beverages that contain high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
This type of syrup can cause pancreas-damaging high blood sugar.
So, you may have to really pay attention to labels and also start
making some of your own baked goods and sweetened beverages,
doing this can cut your risk of pancreatic problems by 55%.
Not sure how to do this? No problem, just head to youtube.com
or google and type how to make (brownies or fruit juice) with
healthier sweeteners. Or type alternatives to high fructose corn syrup
in the search bar.

e) Ask You Doctor-
About taking a supplement. A grapefruit seed extract. Researchers say that
this extract can prevent painful pancreatitis–or help cure it faster if you
already have it. Pancreatitis is caused by inflammation and grapefruit seed
extract is a powerful natural anti-inflammatory. Plus, it (GSE) improves blood
flow to the pancreas, quickly flushing out pain-triggering inflammation.
Important tip: Do not take this supplement on your own, make sure you talk
it over with your healthcare provider first.
