Do you plan on serving ham or lamb this Easter?
Why not do forgo these two popular entrees and try
something different.

Something different?
Yes, as in pork tenderloin.

Why pork tenderloin?
Well, like lamb, it benefits your body in a number of ways,
and unlike lamb, it’s less expensive and easier to cook.

So, if we’ve convinced you and you plan on getting
a pork tenderloin, here are some of the health benefits
you can expect from (the tenderloin) and a recipe.

First, the benefits…

a) Blue Moods and Aches and Pain!
Pork- which is considered “white meat” is loaded with
the mineral zinc.
And zinc, switches on 300 different enzymes that help you
feel upbeat and focused, plus it speeds healing of sunburn,
strained muscles and other aches.
Eat pork tenderloin or any type of meat, and your risk of
of blue moods and slow-healing injuries will drop by 50%.

b) Lose The Belly Fat-
If you overdo the deviled eggs, red velvet cake,
Mac and cheese, peeps and ham this Easter, don’t
despair, get back on track by eating more pork tenderloin.
No, that’s not a misprint, eating a few ounces of pork
a few times a week, could triple your fat loss
in 30 days and help you incinerate up to 15 to 20
pounds of belly fat in a matter of months.
Pork contains amino acids that stimulate fat burn
inside abdominal cells, helping them torch an extra
100 calories daily.
And one last benefit concerning weight:
Pork can also cut cravings and the mindless evening
binges in half.

c) Thicker Hair-
Have you given up meat and are now experiencing hair loss
(thinning hair)? Deficiencies in protein, iron and zinc have
been linked to hair loss. Well, if you want the thinning
to stop, try eating more zinc and iron-rich meat.
Pork is rich in zinc and iron that’s easy to absorb. Both minerals
help the red blood cells deliver oxygen to all cells in the body,
including hair follicles.

d) Stronger Immune Systems-
A good way to boost the immune system and strengthen your
ability to fight off infections, is through diet.
And foods rich in zinc (like pork tenderloin) can help
improve your immune responses to colds and flu.

e) A Pork Recipe For Easter-
The recipe:
Butterflied Pork Tenderloin!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup dried parsley
1/4 cup dried basil
1/4 cup dried rosemary
1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 Tbs. balsamic vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 Tbs. shallots, minced
1 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
1 tsp. red pepper (or more to taste)
1 1/2 tsp. kosher or sea salt
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
7 Tbs. olive oil
1 tsp. black pepper
1 pork tenderloin- (about 2 to 3 pounds)
To make:
In bowl, combine all ingredients (except the meat)
stir well.
Grab the tenderloin and poke a few holes
all over it. Pour the marinade on top and
sides of the tenderloin, let it sit for 30 minutes or
for 3 to 4 hours. If you marinade it for 30 minutes,
let it sit on the counter top or stove, and if you plan on
marinading it for 3 or more hours, place it in the refrigerator,
covered and when ready to cook it, allow it to sit on the
stove or counter top for 30 minutes.
And one more tip: make sure to keep it (the tenderloin) from
any dogs or cats.
Turn the oven on to 400*F.
Place the pork in the oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
At the 20 minute mark, place a thermometer in the center of
it and if it says 145 degrees, it’s done.
Remove from the oven and leave it alone for 10 minutes,
before slicing.

That’s it- Your Easter meal Rx for better health.
Enjoy the Holiday.
