Valentine’s Day Breakfast Menus For The Weekend!
Valentine’s day fell on a Tuesday this year and if you held off and
celebrated it on the weekend, you’re in luck.
In luck, how?
By looking below and making one of the breakfast meals that specifically
say “I Love You.”
So, if you’re undecided as to what to make your significant other-continue reading
for a menu idea (or two).
Breakfast Meals For Lovers!
Menu No. 1-
I Heart French Toast!
Get out the heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut hearts from slices of bread.
Lightly soak in beaten egg, then saute in melted butter in skillet until
golden brown and cooked through. Use heated fruit, yogurt, maple syrup
or half of an avocado as toppings.
Menu No. 2-
A Red Spritzer!
Fill a champagne or other tall glass 2/3’s full with equal parts pomegranate
juice and orange juice. Top off with seltzer or other sparkling water.
Menu No. 3-
Berry Good Syrup!
Instead of regular maple syrup, add some maraschino cherries (and a little
of the juice) to your syrup. Serve this unique-colored syrup over pancakes or
French toast, a bowl of hot cereal (oatmeal or millet) or plain yogurt.
Menu No. 4-
New & Improved Cream Cheese!
If bagels, toast or banana or chocolate muffins are on the menu, serve them
with cream cheese. Not any cream cheese, but cream cheese that has some
dried fruit, chopped nuts (pistachios) or chocolate chips added to it.
Menu No. 5-
Leftover Champagne Rx!
If you plan on having breakfast in bed (and not driving) then have this
adult-style fruit salad. Combine pieces of fruits, such as strawberry
halves, kiwi chunks, slices of banana and pineapple. Lightly stir in enough
champagne or sparkling cider until juicy, (10 or more minutes) and then
serve in a tall glass.
