This is the fourth week of the NFL season and if the usual snacks of chips, dips
and cold beverages are getting old, here are the recipes for 4 tasty snacks.

Snacks for a day of football watching at home or tailgating.

Snack No. 1-
Sausage Bites!
Serve these delicious treats with toothpicks for easy spearing.
To make:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of maple syrup
and 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder; brush this onto 2 pounds of smoked sausage
or Kielbasa. Place the sausage on a baking pan and bake for 10 to 12 mins.
Turn the sausage over and bake for another 10 mins. Slice into pieces
and place some toothpicks and condiments out. Mustard, Relish and Hot Sauce.

Snack No. 2-
Tart Flambe!
Don’t let the fancy name of this dish scare you, it (the recipe is made with pizza dough)
To make:
Divide 2 lbs. of pizza dough into 4 pieces; thinly roll out. Transfer to a baking pan.
In a food processor, puree 8 oz. of goat cheese, 1/2 cup of creme fraiche* and 1/8
tsp. of ground nutmeg; spread over the dough. Top with sliced onion and crumbled
bacon; bake at 400 degrees for 5 mins. Cut into 2″ squares.
Make sure to keep an eye on the oven, at 400 degrees, the dough may brown quickly.
* Creme Fraiche- It’s just sour cream. For a recipe, go to youtube.com and type
creme fraiche in the search bar.

Snack No. 3-
Beer-Cheese Dip!
This is a dip for adults, to make it for kids just leave the beer out.
To make:
In a large pot, whisk 1/4 cup of melted butter, 1/4 cup of flour, 1/2 tsp.
of onion powder and 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder over medium-low heat;
whisk in 1 cup of milk and 2/3 cup of beer until thickened. Add 3 cups of
shredded cheddar and 1 tsp. of mustard; cook for 5 mins. Serve with tortilla
chips or soft pretzels. Serves 12.

Snack No. 4-
Honey Dijon Wings!
Wings are quite popular, but you may not have had them made with
honey and Dijon mustard.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of dark, raw honey
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard
2 Tbs. of butter, melted
1-2 Tbs. of hot sauce
1 tsp. of garlic powder
3 lbs. of chicken wings, halved at joint
To make:
Heat the oven to 425*F. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with foil;
place a rack on top of each pan. Coat with cooking spray (Pam). In
a bowl, combine honey, mustard and hot sauce. In a separate bowl,
combine garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. of salt; rub onto the wings.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the racks. Bake until no longer
pink near the bones for about 35 to 40 mins. brush with sauce several
times during the last 15 mins. of cooking time. To get a browner and
crispier wing, turn on the broiler and broil each pan for 2 mins.
And if you really want to impress your guests, serve these wings with
Bacon Bloody Marys.
To make:
In a pitcher, combine 64 oz. tomato juice, 8 oz. of vodka, 2 oz. of
Worcestershire sauce, 1 Tbs. of black pepper, 1/2 tsp. of celery
salt and 1/4 tsp. of hot sauce.
Divide evenly, pour into 8-filled glasses; garnish with bacon skewers.
Place bacon on wooden or metal skewers and place inside of each drink.
